A one-hour, interactive workshop to teach you how to use legal tools to protect your creative assets when working with others. It will be followed by individual legal health checks where we can help you understand your legal needs and point you to helpful resources.

This workshop will help the audience understand why they need to use legal tools to protect their creative assets, what legal tools they can use and how to start understanding how those legal tools work. The legal tools will include registering and protecting your intellectual property rights, understanding intellectual property assignment clauses in contracts and using non-disclosure agreements. The workshop will be taught at a basic level and does not presume any prior legal knowledge or skills. Our goal is to raise awareness and build confidence related to these topics. We will also provide links to other helpful resources.
