A Force is a luxury leather goods manufacturer based in London with a mission to be a sustainability leader within the fashion industry.
Alla Almasuri, CEO of A-Force, has twenty years of experience within the leather space and started out by sourcing leather goods from charity shops and repurposing them.
The company now works with businesses of all sizes in need of white-label luxury leather products, predominantly collaborating with small businesses but doing around a third of its work with larger organisations such as Mercedes, Bacardi and Grey Goose.
A Force is also aspiring to enact change within the fashion industry when it comes to recycling and sustainability. The team have created an innovative climate calculator to help brands and manufacturers work out which 100% recyclable products they could make from their textile waste.
Alla said: “The fashion industry is one of the world’s biggest polluters and brands have a huge amount of power to reduce its impact. However, one of our biggest challenges is actually convincing businesses to consider recycling waste as sustainability does come at a cost.”
A Force has been a member of TownSq’s Islington hub since September 2023, three years after it was founded. Since then, the firm has taken on more staff and occupied two floors of the space as it pushed on with its sustainability goals.
Alla said: “We’re extremely proud to have been acknowledged by the local council and its partners as we continue to work towards a more green and sustainable world. We are also grateful to have been referred to TownSq Islington by the council as it’s been a huge milestone in our journey to set ourselves up here, where we are developing our sustainability & fashion waste management education hub.”
Since being based in the workspace, A Force has secured partnerships with Innovate UK and multiple universities, created internship opportunities for students and won a contract with Costa Coffee.
Alla said: “Our growth and development in recent months has been really reassuring that we’re on the right track and that businesses are committed to doing better for the planet.
